Default 2007 Toyota Corolla....not as nice as I expected!!(Update-launch of Redesign Delayed)

Well here's are the pics of the new Corolla. This is not what I expected but maybe it's nicer in person
http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/3.../corolla.5.jpg
Here's a pic of the back. I will scan some front pics from my Automobile magazine in a few minutes
Supposedly they redesigned it after seeing the Civic. I can't imagine how the previous design was if this is the updated version.

That looks to me like the current car chopped with the back of the Avensis. I doubt this is real, but we'll see.

Well, real or not, I like the reserved looks of it...at least the rear end .....we obviously can't see the front. Cars that look like spaceships and humpback whales are not my forte.

And just from this one photo alone, IMO looks a hell of a lot better then the new Civic.

Thanks, Robloc. Now that we can see the front end I like it even BETTER. This may be the best-looking Corolla yet.

I hope that isn't what it will look like. Way too econobox styling for me, even though it is an econobox. The current Corolla looks tons better IMO.

I highly doubt the validity of the Motor Trend article, especially by ending the article with the prospect that the Corolla will have a hybrid variant. The photos look like a redesign concept, not the final product.

I can imagine the Corolla getting a curvy younger look like that of the Yaris. We'll see real soon...

Why do that? If people want a Yaris they will buy one. Though I'm generally not one for stereotypes, the Corolla DX and LX models for the most part appeal to a different group of people than buy the Yaris. The Yaris appeals more to the Scion xA and xB types....even to the point of those quirky center-mount gauges. The Corolla S and XRS generally fall somewhere in the middle.

This is BS. They're basically telling us that Toyota got a look at the Civic ten months ago, abandoned the Corolla project that they've been working on since the current car came out, and already have come this far in the design process. Whoops...it doesn't happen like that. And these pictures look fake- I'm expecting something that looks like a little Camry, just like the Corolla ALWAYS does.

I don't believe the article, or the pics.
