Nissan trademarked "FX50" on April 19, 2006. No "M50" trademark (yet).
We know from the "G37, M37, FX37" trademarks that it doesn't mean that they're going to get used.
Maybe they're planning to increase the displacement of their V8 to 5.0L. Or maybe it means nothing.

Rumor is a 6spd auto is finally in the works for next years models, so lets hope they drop the aging 5spd. It's a shame really, they have a great 6spd manual and CVT, but a 5spd auto. It's actually a good transmission, but you can totally tell it's aging after being in some smooth 6spds.

My FX friends are oogling over possible body design changes and powerplants. I really hope for their sake, they can put something out that will fight the powerful versions of the ML and the X5 with graceful styling.
