The new Passat Commercial, taking shots at 300C, 745, SLK,Viper and all other Germans
I must of saw it 50 times tonight. I was like 
Not necessarily taking shots at those specific cars but basically made fun of ANYONE with one.
The jest is the Passat is a good car that doesn't need to scream "HEY LOOK AT ME".

"Lowest Ego Emissions of any German-engineered automobile" ... I kinda laughed when I heard that. I like the commercial, and the message, but I think it clashes with VW's elitist marketing employed when targeting buyers of cars like the Cabrio or any pre-owned VW. Go read some of the crap on their website and you'll see what I mean.
Things like "your first car, and it's a VW. Suddenly you have a lot of friends you need to go visit."
Give me a break.

In other words, this advertisement may slightly raise awareness, but not change people's minds on buying a Passat. The new body-style of the Passat and seeing it on the road, today, raises awareness of the Passat enough.

P.S. The commercial does get annoying very quickly with the people using loudspeakers.

This new VW commercial is really sad. There really isn't anything to sell the new Passat other
than it's lack of image.......sad really.
