without the help of VDIM, apparently it couldn't and went off road.

I give a to anyone who takes his/her car to the track regardless of which car.

Gotta say - that thing looks WAY out of place on a track. The car looks looong and cumbersome. Not faulting the GS here though, as it was never intended to be a track car (nothing from Toyota currently is). It's much better off tuned VIP-style and cruising in the fast lane on the freeway. In that regard, it shines.

Very cool! Thanks for the write up and the pics! I wonder how a GS 350 AWD would fare in an event like this. Similar/More HP with AWD?

i dont think AWD would help at all. Lower and firmer suspension would, but it would not be as comfy as now. It seems he had as much fun as possible anway...

The DRIVER is the one that makes things happen at the track.

If you read the thread, KevinGS states he spun out in his 300ZX and a guy in a 280Z died after he lost control and flipped.

Kudos to the pics, he shared the WHOLE story, not just the good parts. He showed us "yes I lost it" due to the balance transfer but he regained control.

At Road Atlanta, a similar corner has been responsible for COUNTLESS wrecks. Basically, you speed up and the road goes up then WHAM, the road turn sharply and goes down and then turns again.

Very tricky.

Looked like fun. I figure if the suspension was modded, He would have no problem in the S's.
