Love this car.
The "Athlete" series is pretty agressive IMO. The insert that is in the '06 brochure has all kinds of nice tuner parts to option. Styling Package Ver A, Modellista version, TRD version, TOM's version.
Could only find these in a quick search.

My favorite Crown is the Athlete...it's all about the sport styling of that car.
The JP Sports parts for this car is outstanding!

such a nice car, too bad we don't have it here in the US
i actually talked to some toyota/lexus marketing people about this, and they said they would love to bring the car over, but it's just too hard to position the car here in the US. keep in mind the US market is very different from the japanese market, and if they bring over the car it's just too hard to position it either within lexus or toyota.
so the end results is not having the car here at all. what a shame

Why so hard? Put it in the Lexus lineup. It could be between ES350 and LS460. So there would be three comfort luxury sedans(LS, Lexus version of Crown, ES) and two luxury sports sedans(GS, IS). It probably would be another home-run for Lexus.

This is actually the first time I've seen the car for more than 5 seconds. As nice as it is, it does seem a bit old fashioned (alright, let me just say it: outdated). They all look a bit boxy, and the interior is nice but reminds me of older (and current) MB interiors. The Majesta looks good, but when people try to bling it, it ends up looking disproportionate. When is the Crown due for an update?
