Would love to see what everyone notices about the data (besides how great or lame one company or another looks by it).
I noticed Porsche's market cap is nearly 2x sales. (Compare Toyota around 1x and GM around 0.06 ).
While Toyota is incredibly profitable, GM claims to have twice the assets. I say claim because I wonder how much of that is tied up in plant and equipment that one day might get 'written down' to pennies on the dollar so that number today isn't real.
BMW's not as profitable as I thought, plus I wonder where they got the numbers since I thought BMW was still a private co.
Anything anyone else noticed? I'm looking at the numbers as a potential investor, not just to gloat about who's doing better than whom.
