GS 300 v/s GS 400
I was just looking through the 0-60 and 1/4 times on the racing forum and it has the GS 300 7.6and 15.7 It had the GS 400 at 5.8 and 14.3 the difference in the 0-60 time is 1.8 sec. and the 1/4 mile at 1.4 how in the world did the GS 300 make up almost a half sec. against the GS 400?

My old car weighs abou 3600lbs, has 200hp stock, and from numerous reports, the car is able to run high 15s.
Shoot..even my mom's odyssey clocks aroudn 16.4, and thats a 4500lb hunk of metal.

Well, I used to have a first gen GS300, and now I have a 2nd gen GS430, and the 430 feels so much faster it's not even funny. I don't know if the 2nd gen GS300 is any faster than the 1st gen, after all they have the same engines.
And speaking of Odyssey, it has the same engine as Acura MDX, and my parents used to have one when I had the GS300, and the MDX felt quite a bit quicker.

Im sure if you rev it to around 4,000 rpm shift to L and gun play with the throttle enough. Youll get that time. Other wise you wont. The real reason why the stock automatic 2jz-ge lexi get slow ets, is because they waste so much time off the line being completely and totally off the power band, you litterally waste an entire second being in a dead spot, from 2,000-4000 rpm waiting for the car to build speed.
How else would you explain a high 16 second car that traps faster then cars that run high 15s?
Once I have 5 speed stuff in hand Ill experiment with my SC300.. run it neck in neck one with brake stand, and then one with the big old Auto tranny trashing N Bomb... then retire it to commence tranny swap.
