What Does 600whp & $30k In Upgrades Do For a 350Z?
A HELLUVA LOT!!!!!!!
Pictured here is a very good friend of mine, Dallas-ZClub member and Dallas resident 350Z.
I will give you just a brief description of the recently completed vehicle project:
Completely Forged-Internals
Custom Twin-Turbo
All new fuel management & supply
Willwood 6-Pot front & back Brakes
Seibon Carbon-Fiber hood and various other carbon pieces inside & out
Coilovers w/ adjustible settings
Custom 3" Exhaust
Tons of 'On-Board' diagnostics
@ 600WHP & 540 ft/lbs torque on 91 octane @ 12/lbs boost!
I went for several runs in this Giant Killer and let me just say it fills every bit as fast as my buddies stupid fast modded Vioer GTS!
This Z has demolished MANY Exotics and Superbikes alike. It is quite simply one of the most stunningly built 350Z's in North AMerica.......... PERIOD!
The car has so much attention to detail that he even opted for a 'spray-on' clear bra to cover his several thousand dollar custom grey-pearl paint job.

Tim on the left... Yours truly on the right at a recent meet.[/B]
Speaking of Dallas Meets... There is a fairly large one coming up in a couple weeks for our annual" Cruise to The Dallas Auto Show".
All are welcome. Details in the Southwest Meet section.
Edit: Changed the url tag to an image tag...
Edit2: Sorry TX.. I thought it was a different image (image name in url was different than the attached image) I removed my edit.

There are two kinds of spray on bra. One is a permanent urethane based product that adheres to the paint and is very expensive (likely what the guy with the Z got), you can see it here:
http://armorcoat.armorauto.com/
I've seen it, it looks very nice and you treat it just like regular paint in terms of waxing/polishing, but again it's $$$$.
The other spray on bra is the peel off kind, like this:
http://www.protint.com/QuickPeel.ivnu
http://www.duplicolor.com/products/shield.html
http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog.jsp?SKUupsell=20264
You spray them on, drive it, then remove - you don't leave them on and in my experience they don't look very good, but serve their purpose (long road trip or whatever).

Nice car, and I'm not hating... but $30k in upgrades and the car only makes 600whp? I'd be pissed as hell.
Even better.. .its a super laggy setup making only 540ft-lbs at 12psi? Why doesnt he crank that hoe up? I'd bet it could make some retarded power with higher boost levels (and better gas)

Hmmmm......... Let's see. Well first off, all that bread didn't go just toward engine!
The car is completely modified inside and out. I would say $10-$15k outside the engine/power setup. And just fyi.... he has run on dyno at 15psi with considerably higher numbers. The car is heading into the shop as we speak for more tuning and closer to 700hp. As stated earlier this car is pulling on superbikes already from 50mph rolls! I would say that for the price of a new 350Z @ $35k + $30k = $65k for a VERY good looking car already with enough power to stomp on a Viper, F430, Z06 and the such, is some hella braggin rights.
Particulalrly if one can afford it and has a passion for the Z.....
Nuff said!

The only thing is that at the end of the day, it's still a $65K 350z.[/QUOTE]
I am with you on that one. LOL.
Thats like saying I have a 10 second 1990 CRX that I only spent $20000 to make it go that fast.
