Default Driving other cars....GS still shines

Seems I have been the DD for 2 weeks in a row so I have "test driven" some friends cars. Bottom line is I like the GS4's soul the best.

1.>Acura 3.2 type S. Well it is a puffed up honda accord....ahh I will give is a little credit felt peppy but the driving postion was too high fetl like I was on the dashboard not in the car. front wheel drive no thanks... Low miles, but for 18.5 I would have bought a used GS or IS

2.>BMW 328I sport package. OK I am one of those people who voted for a manual GS4 so the shifting was great, cornering wonderful(I am on l-tuned s//s) But when it is time to move I would need the M3 and this 14K BMW is not a M3. I would get this car if it had 250hp, but it does not.

Learned this. the driving postion of the GS is good the weight feels balanced and power on tap.

Nice to remember why I have this car.

Yup, i agree. My buddy just bought a CL Type-S 6-speed this weekend. I drove it all day today, but other than having the manual, it doesn't come anywhere near my GS. Too much body lean & the FWD doesn't make it any fun.

Try the new 330i Sport. It has the power you are asking for. The steering in a BMW is absolutely brilliant; at any speed.

Yes the 330i would be a great ride, but at what price? Just hard to beat the value of a solid used car like my 99GS4. I guess when I replace the Lexus I will have to give BMW a chance, I need to look at the new IS 3.5 13sec 1/4's sounds like they scoot.
