RSX Type-S Challenge cars @ my work... (PICS)
Here are some pics I took downstairs in our parking lot during my break. It was a surprise to see a trailer full of new Acura RSX Type S' that were furnished by American Honda for several popular tuner magazines to fix up. For those of you that remember the Civic Si shootout between the magazines in the past...this is the most current one that will be published in November publications. They were trucked to our facility since I just recenly found out, our Smog Test center (AAA SoCal) is the only facility west of the Mississippi to smog test cars for CARB emissions testing/approvals. This facility is used by many auto manufacturers including aftermarket companies. Because the winds were too gusty for time testing at Fontucky (Fontana, CA @ CA Speedway), they trucked the 6 RSX's to our facilities in Orange County for testing. Some of the cars had boost, some didn't. 2 of 6 cars passed the 95 dB limit for sound I didn't bother to ask if any of the cars passed the emissions test. There was a guy from American Honda (Acura rep) overseeing all the testing while some of the magazine writers were present watching the smog tests on the dyno. It's normal business as usual living in sunny Southern California.

j/k... I know what you mean, though. I work down in the Irvine/Laguna Beach area. It's pretty sad when just driving around the area you feel poor by driving a Lexus.
