You have fallen for or are deliberately using the "oh don't take it so seriously because I really hate you but don't have the guts to say it", school of Brit passive/aggressive behaviour.

No one is having a "humor failure" here. Some of us are a little more constructive and intelligent when it comes to what we think the BBC likes to set for standards on its programming.

The Brits are not geniuses. If they were they would still be Colonial Empire rulers and would own your state. Apologists come in all forms but TG definitely has a quite a base from what I can see.
