Default What Makes A Car "VIP" ?

I did a search, assuming this has been asked 1,000 times but I couldn't find the answer.

_Is it a "luxury car" that's been dropped? (Lexus, MB, BMW)

_With Lexus, is it only the LS line?

_Does it have to be Black?

_Chrome or no chrome?

_Sounds or no sounds?

_Does it have to be an import (Authentic TOYOTA Celsior or Aristo) ?

1) the VIP Car.
In Japan, there are certain cars that are considered VIP Cars, (Celsior, Aristo, Cima, President, and a few others.) These cars are VIP modded or not, that is why you will see an article in VIPCar magazine every now and then with a stock, or fairly stock looking Celsior, or what have you.

2) VIP Style
This is a style that can range from slammed, widebody LS400's, to Junction Produce's classy line up. It is a very strange style, and it crosses over several different spectrums. The basic idea is wide and low. Most cars have very wide and big diameter wheels with a very aggressive offset. they wrap these wheels in a streched tire. They then lower the car very low (more often than not with an air cylinder set up). The appear to have a lots of negative camber. Most VIP Styled cars also have bulky kits, that do not make the car look aggressive and "scary", but attempt to provide a classier/exclusive look. To learn more of the VIP car styling visit http://www.vipstylecars.com - They have an excellent forum with VIP enthusiast from many different car cultures (Lexus, Toyota Japan, Infiniti, Acura, etc.)

So let me see if I understand this now....

Every GS and LS Owner is considered VIP but you floss the VIP "Style" when you drop the car more than the typical 1.5"-2" or get a widebody conversion?

I think Fat Lips have something to do with it too right? Like 3 inches or more?

Thanks for everyone who chimes in!!!

I've found that the definition of a VIP vehicle follows a loose set of guidelines that are pretty much up for individual interpretation. From the searching I've done on that site it looks to me like a big-body sedan like the GS size and up is the base requirement.

From there you can either go mild or wild by tweaking different factors that were already mentioned...i.e. body kit, drop, deep dish wheels, stretched tires, interior luxury items like curtains, pillows, etc. As far as I know a car doesn't have to have ALL of the things mentioned to be considered VIP, but I would say that an aggressive drop and deep dish wheels are pretty much essential.

Maybe someone else with more experience, like John from JP for instance, could chime in here.

VIP is just a term for a big body sedan ( LS400, S-Class, Q45) stock or not its considered VIP. But everyone now a days has there own take on it.
