Default A couple of questions for SexySC, DocRick and other G35C owners

I talked my TKD instructor into getting a G35c and he just picked it up yesterday!!

I have a couple of questions for you SexySC, DocRick and any other G35 Coupe owners.

1. What is a popular list of mods you guys have done to your G35 Coupe?

The first thing that I immediately noticed is that it needs wider wheels. The stock 18 inch wheels are too far back in especially the front wheels. 225 in front and 245's in the back.

The other mod I think it needs is slight drop and bigger brakes.

Any other good mods you guys can recommend? I will try to talk him into upgrading his wheels at first.

I was looking into getting a G35 at one time myself. I know alot of owners do the clear bumper lens, and intake upgrades as well. I agree with you on the stock wheel placement. Those things run such aggressive offsets.

your friend has good taste in vehicles as far as mods, i have stayed away from things like intakes and exhausts, b/c i really don think that they add too much power. after a while, the computer resets everything back to it previous levels, so the gains arent that appreciable. that being said, i did just place an order for the borla true dual exhaust. but that is only b/c it sounds so damn sweet. and also when i get the twins, the exhaust will already be there. i went with the Hotchkis sways. they are 3 way adjustable. i have mine on the medium setting for both front and rear. i havent dont the springs and shocks yet, but i m sure that when i do, it will most likely be the nismo set. i have really had my eyes on some i-forged (i know of this company in New England that gives killer deals ) but looking at the amount of curb rash i have on mine stockers, i may wanna hold out or take some parking classes. the wheel wells almost beg for 20s, but i think 19s would be the best compromise for performance and looks. as far as brakes, i have seen people doing stoptechs front and rear. that seems to be the norm, it he were to upgrade. but just like with the GS, adding some pistons to the front should do the trick. oh, and i am really kinda feeling the Greddy kit too.......

well maybe not the whole kit, but the front is mean. besides, im gonna need that open space in the front. hth, and good luck......

Doc

my wife has a sedan and the tires did go to s**( real quick. get the track version so you get the brembos her stock brakes suck she has 22000 miles on her car and they have been replced twice. so much dust and squeeking. the factory sent us a card so we get them fixed for the first three years for free.that is why i have not changed them yet. they stop very good just lots of noise and dust drives me crazy.

In addition to what Dr.Rick mentioned, he can also consider data system/Illusion :

Thanks for the responses guys!!!

Now where can I buy the clear bumper lense and find out the price of some of the kits you have posted?

All three pics you guys posted make the car look even better!!! I did not think that was possible as the G35 looks awesome stock! Other than the wimpy looking wheels and brakes of course!

Doc, you didn't like the sound of the Fujitsubo exhausts??? If i was in the market for new exhausts, this would be my only choice. Sound stock but louder.

Clear corners, you can get them from www.everythingg35.com for pretty cheap.

as for the front lip, i'm leaning towards stillen
