My friend's dope @ss Scion XB! PICS!

what do you think of this one? standard MP3 player. . . standard power everything. . . about 40mpg, 0-60 in 8.8(beats stock civic), more interior room than a civic, more legroom, optional interior neon lights, optional changing 10 color, 6 disc mp3 player, cupholder lighting (makes your water bottles glow), all for about $14k, $15 with tax and blah blah blah. . .
It's no Lexus, but I'm giving it a trial run. . . I'm young so it fits me better. Besides, I'd rather take the massive heaps of money saved and use it for partying, and doing fun stuff, not to mention the ability to drive anywhere and not worry about gas. . . a plus in these times. Freedom. I found myself too limited in driving range by price in the LS400 and it would have been the same issue in the IS300, if I went for it. If I could have afforded driving/maintainence costs in the IS, I would have been all for it. . . the LS was already draining my wallet, and the IS is no fuel sipper. Again, it's not a Lexus, but in terms of satisfaction, this thing blows my mind. That and I have a huge wad of cash saved.
I didn't like, the xB before, actually I hated it. . . but now I really like it and kinda wish I got one. As much rear space as Ford Explorer, and you can fold the front seats down and make a bed with the rear seats. The looks grew on me too, as it isn't half plastic, half machine a la Element. Too bad xB's have huge risk for bricks through windows or other vandalism :-(.

Is that orange a special-order color..or was it painted aftermarket? I've seen one or two like that here in the D.C. area but it is not listed as a factory color.

That orange is a limited-edition (only 2100, I think?) called Lava Orange RS (Release Series) 1.0. There will be more limited edition "Release Series" variants in the future.
The RS get special treatment inside and out, but it's only cosmetic, nothing performance enhancing.
