Wow, kinda hoped the GS430 had the all-wheel-drive. At least it's happening though!

Also, no mention of any specific power increase on the 430 either. I guess that one is kind of still up in the air since there's no official specs out yet. At least we know more Thanks Lee.

I think they're doing what a lot of companies are doing. New 5 series, one yr later, M5. New Vette, one yr later, new Z06. New GS, maybe one yr later, AWD and other goodies we didn't even think of. May be too wishful but hopefully it'll be a reality.

I'm hoping the new GS is a failure. Lexus needs a wake-up call. If Lexus doesnt up the power on their V6 and V8 motors, the IS will be a flop too.

As of now IS and GS sales are unremarkable.

i believe that lexus consider the first generation of IS as a failure since they sold only 5900 units of them while their main target BMW 3 series sold 46000 units of them. IMO the first gen IS is a absolutely great car but there's something missing for american market. i m sure that lexus will do something about it and it was a wake up call for them.IMO.

the missing link is power. the 215hp figure and the real world performance of the car is just not up to bar with the 330ci.

i hope they address that in new IS series, IMO IS looks way better than 325i.

now all we need is F&F3 where they will use boosted is300 and GS300 and mention that both have same engine as NA supra. i can see value go up 10-15k. if that happens i'm keeping mine 4ever.

just jokin

youre forgetting the 3 series has a following while the IS is still a new car. plus the 3 series come in more than one model.

In the article they mention that the V6 will up the power from 215hp to 245 hp. They did not mention anything about the V8 though.

that's an interesting one actually. from all i have read so far, they only said that the new gs430 will get the "same" v8 as the one we have right now. does that mean the same 300hp? or a tuned up version? umm.....

I suspect that the new GS430 probably will have an equivalent or a little more juice than the new BMW 545. (maybe a new tranny as well......)
The new LS430 got a new tranny and increased 1/4 mile performance by .5sec.....

I am starting to think no on really understands Lexus’s focus………………

Practical, efficient, high quality luxury vehicles.
