Default corolla & moon roof

some of you might have been bugged by me with my PM attacks about "various topics " --including a gas saving beater.

yesterday i saw a corolla with moon roof. it's mid night blue with christian fish on the back where the type "S" emblem would have been. it had tinted windows all around and it looked very clean over all.

since when did corolla have moon roof, just this year? i'm a sunny cali girl who needs skin cancer by the age of 3X so i'm totally stooked about the moon roof(the next best thing to a sunroof).

i really like its quasi-altezza front grill too :]

It's pretty much my daily beater. I only drive it like a total of 5-6 miles a day to back and forth to work. With the gas price war and crisis these days, I'm glad I only fill up my tank once every 2 1/2 weeks. It only takes about $18 to fill up too.
Sometimes, I'll load up my buddies and we'll head out for the Indian Casinos....lol

Yes, Corollas are available with moonroofs, but if you REALLY want sun (as you indicate), and you want to stick with a reasonably-priced Toyota product, take a look at the MR2 spyder. It is an inexpensive (low-mid 20's) mid-engine full convertible. Just don't plan on packing much with you...trust me on that. And you'll have to choose between a full manual transmission and an auto-clutch sequential manual.
And you can't get Corollas in bright yellow either.

Or you can wait 2-3 months and get that new Scion TC coupe. It has a panorama roof (Entire roof is fully retractable glass) which is standard. It also has the camry engine with a manual or auto and standard 17 in rims and other crap. All for obviously under 20 grand. Just a suggestion. And that new Mazda3 has a lot of options too (Navigation, Leather, Xenons, Sunroof, etc) for about 19 grand. I think mainstream is catching up to luxury cars. That MR-2 isnt a bad choice either.

And to answer your question, my aunt has a 95 corolla with a moonroof. Well a retractable roof. It was steel. What the hell would you call a metal sunroof? I never understood why car companies even made that. Such a waste.

I think most years Corollas were available with moonroofs - but they are very rare. The cost is like $500 and most dealers will not order them that way. My mother in-law was in the market back in 2001 and there were none in the Chicago area that had the moonroof.
