DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Feb. 2, 2004) - Lexus-powered teams finished 2nd, 4th and 6th in the Daytona Prototype class at the Rolex 24, considered the most grueling test in racing. The Doran-Lista car pictured here came from behind improving 25 positions during the 24-hour race to capture second in class to give the manufacturer its first podium finish in the Rolex Sport Car Series. The Doran-Lista Team was forced to start 31st due to a paperwork snafu in qualifying.

I too have a strong feeling about the 4.3L V8. I believe Lexus will up the HP/TQ on the next V8 engine. We will not see it until the next redesigned LS430. At which time the GS430 and SC430 will have an engine refresh. Possible direct injection like the new V6 3.0L found on the upcoming 06 GS300.
