In actuality, there is much more than meets the eye when it comes to online auctions such as eBay. I've sold many things, including 2 Corvettes and a modified 5-liter Mustang using this media for 2 predominant reasons: 1) Time...I know, that within one week, my vehicle will be exposed to a broadening audience worldwide resulting in the sale of said vehicle. 2) Convenience...no hassling or haggling, no dealer shopping for the best trade price, and it all happens from the air-conditioned confines of my home office. I realize there are many examples of bad deals and bad sellers, but you'll have that however you decide to purchase whatever you're buying. That '04 5-speed IS with Nav you're drooling over may very well be a lemon. So, as said before, Caveat Emptor...ask lots of questions, and if you're not comfortable, just walk away. My $.02.
