I need to know where to find what my now written off car is worth!
ICBC wrote off my car today and they only are offering 13,750. They are being creepy about it and saying that if i want more than what the car is worth then i will have to go to small claims court..Say what?
Its a rare GS430 2004 Black on Black lexus. There is none up here in Canada. This was a car that was brought up from the states. It had a new bumper put on and a brand new paint job. It was in imaculate condition and the body shop can verify that. I also put on new blizzak tires and new brakes and calipers just recently.
Besides the receipts I can give..how do i find out what the cost of this when I cannot find one up here anywhere? I found a silver one with cream coloured interior once a long time ago. But nothing since then.

face it... ICBC don't care what u did or how much money u paid for the paint job or how good your car's condition b4 the accident... cuz they go by what is the car worth on the canadian black book or market value i think... and if u want to know how much a write off car really worth? go to a local junk yard, good luck trying to get $13,000 on it... u better off sell your car part by part, probably will worth more money than selling it to a junk yard...

crap
okay.I guess that I will take it.
What is sad is there is NO other car up here in canada. My car came from the states. I dare anybody to find one. You wont. That is the issue. They are all down in the states and to get one up here will cost probably a couple thousand dollars.
I wish I could show them that. I really would honestly love another GS.

If you think your car is really "special", you should have got an appraise done and have the vehicle insured at the appraised value. Thats what most owners with modified / antique vehicles do....
