Default New to the world of Lexus.

First post,

While everyone else in my family converted to the world of Toyota and Lexus about a decade ago, I was the last "domestic" hold out... Yesterday I traded in a "always in need of servicing" Cadillac STS on a 2008 Lexus GS 450h. 57,000 KM on the clock, Obsidian/Black... every option other than the radar cruse (did any come this way in Canada?)

It looks like the car was mostly serviced at Regency in Richmond, any tips on where/who to service this rocket ship?

So far, this car, driven with some degree of granny mode is returning 8.3L/100km in my morning Richmond-Burnaby commute. My Cadillac was returning 15.5L/100km over the same trip.

So far I'm not missing the Caddy one bit.

cograts on getting the GSh! if you had posted a week earlier, you could have met up with us for a GS meet.

you could take your GSh back to richmond lexus, or to regency lexus in vancouver. i personally prefer regency lexus. i believe (but not 100% sure) that radar cruise was not an available option in 2008, as my GSh is also a fully loaded model.

Congrats on your car!! I'm almost 100% sure that 2007 & 2008 GSh only came in one package in Canada (fully loaded but without radar cruise), this is from the brochure a Lexus dealer gave me when I went in and looked at te GSh. I personally bring the car to an autoshop that I trust and have been with for years, because Lexus dealership = $$$, unless you don't mind the price for their EXCELLENT service. There is a thread Comparing Lexus dealers in BC, I think it's in the Canada section.

One thing to look out for if you bring the car to Lexus is to make sure they don't wash your car, it's the great way to ruin your paint.

Enjoy your new ride and welcome

Thanks all,

Just wondering, does anyone have a Canadian Dealer's Brochure for the 2008 GS line?

I have at my disposal a 11x17" high res scanner and would be happy to extend a digital copy, in exchange for borrowing the brochure for a few hours.
