New Lexus Owner with a few ?

New to this forum, so appologies if this topic has already been addressed.

I'll be picking up my 2007 IS 250 on Saturday and have yet to decide on a few of the "extras" the dealer is offering, namely;


1. Corrosion protection - I'm sold on the idea for under the car and inside the doors, just don't know how effective the silicon based product is vs. oil based poducts - any experience out there. It is supposed to be a one time application good for 8 yrs. I live in southwestern Ont (Brights Grove) where they do use quite a bit of salt in the winter.

2. The Invisi-shield (trasparent shrink wrap) for the front of the car - effective? worth the $499 for the small pkg (a foot and a half on the fender and hood area) or $ 999 for the large pkg (small pkg + entire front bumper and back of mirrors). Any comments?

3. Vechicle Armour Protection - FOB replacement, ding and dent protection, windsheild repair, tire and rim protection and rip and burn on interior protection. Again any comment out there for value in these options? I'm told the FOB if lost is up to $500 to replace?
