Can anyone recommend a good Lexus Mechanic in Mississauga or close to Mississauga. Tired of paying dealership prices. Thanks

Is your vehicle still under warranty?
If not, for "regular" maintanence, you can go to independent shops and get an oil change for less than $35.
Or just learn to do them yourself, it is not hard.......all you need is an oil tray, 14mm wrench, a few rags, and you are good to go.

No, the car is no longer under warranty. I am looking for another alternative then going to the dealership for everything.

I have done brakes, suspensions, timing belt, water pump, ignition, valve cover gaskets, crank / cam seals, etc on my 97 ES300.
I have also done the same jobs + more on my 91 MR2.
I am not a certified mechanic. I am an engineer but have worked on numerous cars. Email me if you are interested.

I am a automotive technician by trade and i still don't do the major work.
I spend 100km total their and back , so the gas is fine as i have $20 to throw away if i need to if it did cost me that much .
Anyone can work on a car , anyone can fix a car , only someone who does it all the time knows the ins and outs as well as short cuts.
I want to get better value than the dealer and know the man first hand who is working on my car. I know service advisers at most dealers but still don't trust them .
Andy tells me before i start what and why and never takes on stupid things . Maybe it is because he knows I know better . He still does not do it to the others i have sent to him either.
Their is something to be said about repetitiveness and having all the technology to service an electronic car.
I don't know BDSL ( unless you have come out to my meets) so i can't say why you would be a better choice.

During the summer, the Toyotanation has a meet every 2nd Wednesday night of every month at the Krispy Kreme. On a nice day, you will see a few MR2s there. I go once in a while if I have time.

For me it is cheaper to have someone else work on timing belts and bearings than doing it myself as it costs me more time and money.
I know the meets as i started them in 2000 with dixon who used to co own toyota nation way back then. Including rollin with them for darknights 2002-05 each year.
Believe me i have been around a long time.

I know one of the co-owners too...Ratko. He bought a MR2 MKII roughly around 04-05.

just wanted to bump this thread up. skperformance already told me about andy at bullock. i got quoted 300 for labour for my sc400 with a stock 1uz-fe. just wondering if theres any other places people would recommend that can do a good job but still reasonably priced. with me being unemployed now every single dollar saved helps out a lot. but i cant let the timing belt go on for too long since the previous owner never replaced it.
