There is a chance that you may not be able to turn off the DRL if it is a Canadian car. According to Jeff Lange for his 2011 ISx50, the feature to turn off DRL was not showing up in Techstream. Probably switching out the ECU which controls it for US one which does have the feature can do the trick.

i don't have an EPC handy, or any reference material for that matter, and i know jeff, and he knows his stuff... but is there no daytime running light resistor in newer cars?? on most cars with a DRL resistor, it's as easy as unplugging it...

Most of the newer Lexus (and Toyota for that matter) models use a duty cycle type DRL function (controlled by the front controller in the MPX ECU in Lexus models), a timer chip and 2 transistors run the high beam bulbs at 50% duty cycle at 12V, instead of a resistor. The body ECU sends the MPX ECU a signal over the BUS to enable the DRL function. In USA models, the body ECU allows this to be disabled, in Canadian models this is not possible. There are 3 good ways I can think of to disable DRL in newer Canadian duty-cycle function cars: get a USA body ECU and use a Techstream to disable DRL, get an MPX ECU without the DRL circuitry (transistors/timer circuits -- there are 2 of these for the 2IS, the overseas one without DRL, or the 2011+ one with LED DRL's as these turn on the LED's instead of the high beams), and finally adding a relay to the high beam bulb so that it only completes the high beam bulb circuit when the low beam is on, which effectively disables the DRL as well. The last method was what I used for my car.
I tried to open up the MPX ECU to remove the timer circuit, but it was quite impossible without damage. It was very glued, haha. I also contemplated getting the correct MPX ECU, but I had relays lying around, so I just did it that way. I may still do that one day, we'll see.

Spotted a white 2IS with yellow fogs and black "roof spoiler?" on Hwy 1 at around 6pm, we drove the same way all the way from burnaby to Mary Bypass then I lost him. I was driving in a black GS450h that is needing a wash haha

Haha damn thats how dirty my car is... black cars are impossible to keep clean, I wash my car weekly too I guess I will give it a wash tomorrow in the rain
btw your yellow fogs are really sharp, I was starring at it all the time when you were behind me

You 4GS guys will make us too jealous haha but I will let Stormforge comment on that one, personally I have not been able to see a 4GS in person and it would be awesome if I can see one close up
