Default Transmission Issue For Owners In Canada?

Hi Everyone,

I Am New Here. I Read About The Transmission Problem Of The 2007 Es350 And It Seems Like They Can't Fix It Yet. Has Anyone Experiencing The Problem In Canada? Most Of The Cases I Saw Happened In The U.s.

By The Way, I Ordered A Es350 A While Ago And It Should Be Here For Delivery Some Day This Week. Can't Wait To Get It!

i've seen one or two have that issue... not too many... most of these cars got backordered, so i havn't actually seen that many of the cars themselves, let alone cars with the problems

Hey I was wondering how much did you pay for the ES ?? I am considering one myself as well. I was told by the sales guy that it takes about 2 months if I order one now...and I asked about getting a White one (I believe Starfire Pearl)..takes about 4 months..

There is no problem with the new ES 350 . People just like to complain because they are used to old style throttle cables. I have driven 3 different es350's and all of them drive like a drive by wire should drive. It never is always in the right gear when you want to hammer the gas but you learn that when you want response and not smoothness just pop it out of o/d and away you go , no problems at all . It is the same way i have to drive my LS400 , the only difference it is not as apparent as it has more power.

Drive an ES330 and it is so under powered the shifting is all over the place.

I PAID THE RETAIL PRICE FOR PREMIUM PACKAGE. NO DISCOUNT; HOWEVER, THEY DO GIVE ME A SET OF ALL SEASON FLOOR MATES & A CARGO LINER FOR FREE. I WAS TOLD BY SALESMAN THAT DEPENDS ON THE COLOR AND PACKAGE YOU WANT, SOMETIMES IT CAN TAKE A REALLY LONG TIME BEFORE THEY CAN FIND YOU ONE. IF EVERYTHING TURNS OUT RIGHT, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE HOME THE NEW ES BEFORE FRIDAY THIS WEEK. I AM JUST CROSSING MY FINGERS AND HOPE FOR THE BEST NOW.

I hope your ES doesn't have the Tranny problems but from my knowledge given to me by a salesman here that in fact the canadian ES350 suffer from the same problem. Basically what is wrong is that the ES350 is a front wheel drive and the GS350 and IS350 don't have these problems is because they are rear wheel drive and lexus has not adapted the tranny properly for the ES. I know of one ES had a failed tranny already at around 30,000km. Not everyone of them will fail in the short run. Hopefully lexus comes out with a fix soon.
