That is SOOOOO perfectly correct, Sir!! ;o)
AND the ECU..... I have ordered it today. My investigation on the speedometer problem, is that the Cluster ECU (we have at least 7 ECU's in our cars..) controls the trip/odo readings.
The main ECU (above the acc. pedal) controls a lot, including the F-C readings and possible the driving computer.
The next problem is to integrate it to my vehicle... With no assign electronic key.. Could be interesting! ;o)
And then adjust all the C-best settings, erase all keys, input new ones, and adjust, if necessarie, the km. reading.

Did you give them your VIN, it may help them select the correct ECU and speedometer. You may have to go to a dealer to set the C-best settings. You can download all manuals related to your SUV here: http://techinfo.toyota.com/
I think it's $10.00 for a day, so if you have broadband connection it will not take long

Is it better than this one? (Click on the Green auto repair)
Auto Wreckers got my VIN no. but I wanted a Canadien speedometer, and not something with miles.. ;o)
I return with info as soon as I have dug deeper into the EEprom! ;o)
I've heard from a friend that some vehicles (mainly Germans) got as much as app. 7 different points, who all compared the km. readings. After he had mounted a new speedometer, it autoupdated to old km. setting... ;o) My hope is that the ECU autouppdate the new/old miles and convert them to km. as soon as I mount the speedometer... ;o)
