I would really like to meet some CL members for some racing and socializing. I spend quite a few nights at St.Thomas dragway near London, Ontario. I think it's a good meeting place...about in the middle between Detroit/Windsor and TO. St. Thomas is also great beacsue it's cheap..only $15 for as much racing as you want on Fridays nites, and $20 for Saturday nite. Both nites race from 6-10pm. If people want to just show up and race on a Friday nite, please let me know. If people want a more "family" type thing, we can find a park, have a picnic or BBQ, then head to the races afterward...obviously the 2nd option would have to be on a Saturday, unless people don't want to actually race and just WATCH a race. I see on the 19th of Sept. (sunday) there is some kind of sport compact racing event. My preference would include us racing. If no one has ever been to a track, it's great fun. Now I'm sure everyone will have a preference for a day...but to give everyone enough notice, maybe we can make it the 1st or 2nd week of Sept. for the family event...But I am willing and ready to go any Friday if anyone wants to go and just race and hang out. I am frequently there 3 or 4 times per month. Anyone interested??? Start throwing out your ideas!!

The second week of September would work for me!

I would prefer the family type event with a picnic and BBQ. Is there a park we can go to and do a BBQ? I would bring my family with me (my sons are crazy about cars and I cannot exclude them - they are 5 and 7 years old).

We could always go to the races afterwards! Hopefully I will have my TC installed by then!

I will send a PM to all the Canadian members I know to look at this thread. Hopefully we can get some real participation here this year!

We had a BBQ at the track before. Pretty "family" friendly track to be honest. Dogs are allowed too. But if you want a "real" park for the BBQ, let me know...

So that means only three folk are interested in this event...........

I would like to be able to take some pics against a nice backdrop. Maybe a real park would have some nice locations to take pics of all of our cars?

I figured since the racing starts at 10am, we could race till say...2pm. Then head to the picnic area and chill out. Sound good? Anyone else have thoughts on this??
