On Saturday October 3'd I agreed to trade my OEM grill and some money for user L-S-D's blitz replica grill.
I sent funds via paypal immediately.
I paid extra for shipping having been told it would arrive in 3-5 days.
Having already sent funds I figured it would be a good idea to await confirmation of my item being shipped before I sent my grill.
He claims that it took him "2 days" to ship it, but it was not shipped (confirmed by canada post) until October 8th. Five days, actually, but who's counting? During that 5 day period none of my PM's were replied to. Five days to get to the post office is a bit much when that is as long it was supposed to take to get. I paid extra for this? I then put mine in the mail two days (actual two days not two days= five days) later due to the weekend. I notified him of the shipment on two occasions after and had no thought of checking PM's from him after that point.
I expressed on more than a few occasions that I be contacted via my personal email (listed here and sent to him through PMS) from then on since I may not be able to check PM's frequently.
It has been 14 days. I have both paid via paypal and sent my grill (i notified him of troubles with tracking numbers since it was done at a 3'd party packing/shipping store). Yet a post was made accusing me of being a scam. Internetisms of foul nature "WTF" etc. etc. (asterisks and word games do not make it any less offensive Mr L-S-D) Have been PM'd to me. Jokes of flying to texas to 'kick my ass' have been mentioned. Threats of reporting me to paypal also. Umm, i paid HIM via paypal and have not received goods I purchased possibly maybe I should be the one contacting paypal?
My intention of this is not to complain or to go back and forth publicly with user L-S-D. I have suggested a quick end to this transaction. My purpose is only to have this moved into the closed feedback forum (as his irresponsible assumption of a "scam" post was) so as to not have those who did view that post thinking I am an illegitimate buyer/seller. This year I drove 1200 miles to purchase an expensive classified sale. I have little to no interest in scamming someone for a $150 dollar grill. I am unable to reply on that thread because it was moved into a closed forum but I certainly wanted to respond publicly.
I feel it is unwarranted and irresponsible when a person who fails to reply to PM's about a product he needs to ship (and was paid extra to ship quickly) then turns around and makes public accusations about another user after asked to contact them directly via an email address given. After having patiently waited (still waiting and did not resort to foul pms or posting threads) 14 days for a 3-5 day shipment it is a little upsetting to come back to CL only to find rude PM's and public accusations. I have never had any issues buying/selling a thing and I hope those who viewed this "feedback" will realize the dilemma and not hesitate to engage in transactions with me in the future.
