Default Hmmmm SC300?

Picked up a 1994 sc300 5 speed w/ a bad water pump from a good friend of mine about a week ago. Not really sure what the future holds for this girl but we'll see if she sticks around!
Not really a fan of writing novels in build treads so ill mainly be posting crappy iphone pictures <3

How many miles on her???? Looks like a decently clean car, did you do the timing belt service as well?(I know changing the water pump is part of that service). Kind of weird that somebody painted the valve covers black, they should be silver like the other plastic covers on the engine.

200K? Something around there, I cant check since i have the battery out right now. Yes Im doing the timing belt, water pump, Cam and Crank seals, New tensioner, thermostat, serpentine belt, and valve cover gasket. Going to give it a hell of a clean after and see what other stuff is leaking.

Yeah PO did the valve cover gasket and painted the covers while they were off. He did a poor job and half the bolts were torqued properly. It the main reason i have that pool of oil where my spark plugs sit :/

Just waiting on parts to show up!! I should be picking up some wheels for her tomorrow too!

When we ran the car for a few minutes we found a leak in the radiator, right by the neck. Pretty lame, but just a few clicks on amazon solved that problem.
My real concern was this super loud whistling that was coming from the intake. During idle and higher engine speeds. I read that cleaning the IACV usually solves that issue so thats something ill hopefully get to fix today as well.
