Glad this car is being saved the way it should be saved...returning it to stock looking at least and not modifications that cheapens out the car .

I know every one has the right to do whatever they want with their car. It is their own money . But many starts with the wrong car for the wrong purpose. They bastardize the SC just to say they have done something on the forums They find every damn thing wrong on the SC and the engineers or company who built it just to justify their ghetto mods. This is not the damn honda civic that every broke *** kid want to make it sound like a fast car .

Good Luck and thanks for doing this car right !

Thanks to everyone who has complimented this build, it means alot ecspecially from the more senior members. i think alot of folks do just veiw this car as like a honda civic., ive read threads about guys asking about cutting coils and all kinds of BS. to me this is my frikin dream car..i love the style, the motor, the fact that its not a cookie cutter car..I do want some kind of boost in the future. I probably will start with NOS and save up for an M90 setup as it seems to be the easiest and cheapest option. I dont want a race car just a fast daily that has some umph if say a kid in a civic or a mustang tries me I would like to do a small turbo but fabricating the manifold and all that seems like too much of a headache. M90 Just seems the best way to.go..

So anyway another update..the other night i replaced the whole driverside door becase it had a big rusty dent..im also in the process of doing the bfi, and fixing the wipers. They wont turn on the guy said it is probably the switch but imma try the motor first since it seems easier to switch.out..then i have to sand and repaint the bumper after that i will be done with.the outside..oh and im going to put the spoiler back on just gotta drill the holes or should i just stay spoilerless? idk it could go either way..I just want this car to look awesome but at the same time tasteful and unRICED

That is the best part of the 1995-96 bumper , that center piece is removable . Don't throw that grille away.

Looks like you got a great deal to me, those 350z wheels go for half the cost you paid for the car

It didn't use to be as many of the OGs lament. Read the old threads on this forum .. how , so many SC owners took pride of their SC and did the best for it . Even the small thing they put in their car, it was for the best. And many spent a good chunk of money just to have the best part on their SC. Times had changed . This had been commented and said by many of the old members here . Most of the real Lexus SC fanatics are gone. Check the old threads ... see how people dealt with their SCs and you will see a big difference.

Now , people even pretend to be better than the Lexus Engineers , criticizing their work which by the way some of these SCs are now 25 years old and yet better looking and better running car than most 25 year old cars, just to justify their ghetto mods. Of course for a 20-25 year old car , some parts are destined to be replaced. Show me a damn same year vehicle that is better looking and built than the SC, not many.

Wow. Happy to see the new car coming together. It's the best of both worlds, when you have two of the same car to work with.

How are those stock 1997 rims? They look very nice from the one photo they're in. I wouldn't be able to resist putting them back on.
