So the rr racing comes with the maf adapter just siliconed on? Not welded? What did you use for your paint correction? I also have a white one and olan to do it soon.

A couple of updates. All of the aero was removed and painted. The grill surround, front lip, side splitters, rear splitters, and diffuser were painted Ford tuxedo black metallic. While reinstalling the rear splitters I changed the mounting points to move them in and make them more subtle. I also installed the OEM LEDs that have been sitting around.

With the day off I decided to get the local cops off my back. I had picked up this car with some pretty dark tint installed by the previous owner. I immediately pulled the windshield banner, but figured I would wait until I was told to remove the tint. It was too dark for my liking, but I didn't care to take the time to pull it off or spend the money to replace it. After getting pulled over a couple of blocks from my house recently the cop tested the tint and it measured in at 11%. He mentioned that he would "keep an eye out for me the ensure the repairs were made". I also don't have a front plate and have not given in with that yet. So, I broke out the steamer today and decided it was time to remove this film and have a blank slate for something a little lighter to be installed. The doors were a breeze, but I was a little apprehensive about doing the rear glass. The potential of defrost issues down the road doesn't sound appealing, but I pulled apart the back end and tackled it nonetheless. I removed rear seat cushion, seat back, and rear deck lid then covered the rear deck lid with a garbage bag to keep the moisture from getting to the speakers and wiring. I took my time and it came off without any residue left on the rear glass. So, now I have one less reason to steer clear of local law enforcement.

you have done everything to your car that i want to do to mine, minus the winter set up. It's not my daily driver and it will never see snow as long as i don't get caught in it. I have an 08 and know what you mean about the headlights pointing too low. I"m in central MO, not uber far from you. Maybe i could meet up with you one day and look your car over and bounce a few questions your way.

Car looks sick btw.

when i had my is250 i had 5% tint, when i took that off all the windows i, couldnt even see through the tint lol

are you gonna leave the isf without tint. or get it retinted with legal tint? in my state all car have to be 35% all around, but trucks can have 5% in all but front windows....

how long did it take you to remove all of the tint. i had a few people helping me remove mine and it still took awhile

You can use a black trash bag, and some 409 cleaner (or anything with ammonia) on a hot day. Basically spray the tints, lay the trash bag onto the solution, close all windows and doors, and let it sit for about 30 minutes on a hot day. After about 30 minutes, the film just peels off with little to no residue on the glass. Its perfect for taking off the tint on the back windows. Just make sure you only spray it onto the film and nothing else. I really don't know what it does to anything else in the interior.

Did you tell the police officer that due to the goofy liberals in Springfield, that front/rear tinted windows are now legal in Illinois??

We used....

Griot's Garage Fast Correcting Cream & Microfiber Cutting Pads
CarPro Essence & Rupes Yellow Polishing Pads
Using Rupes LHR21ES, Griot's Garage BOSS G21, and Rupes LHR75e machines
I then coated the vehicle with CQuartz Finest

... We have tons of great info on the Club Lexus Detailing Forum (link in my signature). Let me know if you've got any other questions

It took about 2.5-3 hours, but I pulled the interior out and was interrupted by my kids a few times. It went smoothly. I plan to have it redone with 35% as that is what is legal in IL. To be honest the tint that was on the ar was too dark, so it wasn't that disappointing pulling it off.
