1 can is enough if the brakes are prepped well. Don't plan on having much left over.

Well, the RR airbox install turned into a bit of a wild goose chase, but it is all figured out. The MAF housing is siliconed to the intake pipe and it separated. During my wild goose chase the downstream O2 sensors got replaced. The passenger side was easily reachable with a deep well O2 socket, but the driver's side I needed to cut the shroud back from the Denso sensor so that an offset socket would reach the nut holding the sensor. Although they were not the culprit they had seen better days.

In the meantime I am taking the MAF housing to a fabricator to have a new piece of pipe cut that is slightly longer than what comes with the RR kit. I have found that with the Joe Z elbow I will get a better fit if the pipe is about 1.5" longer. I am also going to have the MAF housing TIG welded to the pipe instead of using silicone to hold the two pieces together. I will post pics once it is done.

I took the RR MAF housing to my local fabricator and he said, hey do you have about 20 minutes? So, I hung out for a little bit and he made me a new intake pipe on the spot. He made this pipe 1" longer which should help everything line up better with the JoeZ elbow and RR airbox. He used a thicker gauge aluminum and TIGd the MAF housing to the new pipe. This should be a better setup long term.

I went ahead and prepped and painted the pipe in wrinkle black. It will go back on next week.

Looks good.

Must be nice having a local fabricator to tackle stuff like this.

Paint job looks spot on as well.

that's a nice MAF housing. maybe you'll get some PM's from others to have the fabricator make more.
