Default Otakusan's 2016 IS350 AWD F-Sport

Hi Everyone,

I just picked up my 2016 IS350 AWD F-Sport this weekend. I'm really loving this car so far, the interior is so nice, the ride is so civilized, the workmanship and details by LEXUS is amazing. Coming from a Subaru, this is a huge step up on the quality ladder.

Currently researching on parts to personalize the car to my liking

For those interested, this was my 2011 Subaru STi before the IS

Thanks Guys, Has ordered a bunch of small accessories already such as storage box, key gloves, navigation screen protectors radar mirror mounts... Car is currently sitting at my buddies getting a new car paint prep, than getting 75% of the car wrapped in XPEL ULTIMATE clear film, and top off with GTECHNIQ Crystal Serum and GTECHNIQ EXO.

In the mean time, trying to decide on front lip, spoiler, diffuser, exhaust.

Also waiting for F-sport springs to arrive to dealer and install. (will be an experiment on how they fit/ride on AWD model)
And waiting for hub-centric rings and lug nuts to arrive so I can put those TE37SL from the STi on (since i got a very conservative setup, they should work very well on the IS).

Hope to share more pictures here soon

Very nice ride! Besides spring and Volks, do you have any other plans for it? Judging by the look of your Subbie, I would guess you have other plans

Personally I think less is more! Too many people buy these cars and immediately think they must go purchase xx exhaust xx lip xx diffuser.

The car is absolute class stock! Personally if I'm going to mod, it's going to be functional and increase the use of the car or the handling. Personally I think the vast majority of add on lips, diffusers, wings, spoilers, etc. is juvenile/tacky but that's just my opinion. I love stock professional sleek quality appearance of the IS in its stock form!!

What I did is subtle H Tech springs on mine. .8/.6" drop. I wonder if you want to do something similar?

Subscribing so I can see how the F Sport springs turn out on your AWD. Really hoping for some good news here!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys Not much planned besides cosmetics... I'm not sure if I even want to get an axle back yet even. Like E46CT said, the car actually looks very nice as is already... the lowering springs was a free dealer throw-in, so I thought it would make a good experiment on how they do on the AWD car... Plus I made sure they put in writing that this will not affect my warranty in any way what so ever (since it's not a Canadian Lexus option). I wanted to get something small and subtle so it doesn't affect the lines of the car much.. but will make it a bit different than the other thousands of this car rolling around the city

Small and sad update... the Japanese shop I ordered my TRD Aero parts (front lip and rear spoiler) from just emailed me... TRD Aero parts for the 3IS are now discontinued
Trying to contact all the online shops that lists these to see who actually has these parts in stock... sigh...

Judging by your location and the way the IS was presented by the dealer, you must be a fellow Edmontonian.

I'm curious to see how the F-sport springs fair. Been contemplating putting springs on mine but no time and too much other stuff invested in life *cough*house and mortgage*cough*

I've emailed all places that listed the TRD aero parts on their online store, waiting for responses...

I've been away from the Lexus scene for too long. When did they start making an AWD IS350? Any manual trans yet?
