Default First Lexus: 1997 SC300 Black/Black

I've been looking on Craigslist for a nice SC300 to pop up, almost bought a different '97 Black 5spd but it needed major paint body work. Waited longer and I'm glad I did. Found a cleaner one, same model, but with black interior and it was a 5 speed! It was posted up 2 days ago and I had to check it out quick. Bought it today and it was listed for $4500, got it down to $3800. It had timing belt and pump done already and the car is at 175k miles right now so to me it was a pretty good deal. It came with Stance GR+ coilovers and it feels way better than the coilovers I had on a different car. I got a lot of plans for this car and I'm going to definitely take my time. Maintenance, wheels, and maybe NA-T

I could've gone lower but damn I was too excited and forgot to mention the little things that needed fixing. Thanks!

Clean pickup....LS400 brakes wont fit with stock wheels......

Those are stockers with drilled rotors...

FYI...here is the size difference.....pretty noticeable...LS400 top and SC300 bottom

Take it easy on me haha. I guess I'll be getting a set of actual LS400 brakes soon since I see everyone recommending it on the forums.

Also I'll be getting a set of new wheels soon so I'll be updating this thread.

First I need to tackle a couple of (hopefully) small fixes:

- horn doesn't work
- no power to side mirrors
- coolant is low
- clutch engagement is high
- a full detail / polish this weekend

Let me know if you guys have know any fixes to those problems mentioned. It'll be greatly appreciated.
