Default $700 Dollar LS400!

Greetings everyone, bought my second LS400 the other day for $700 USD . Drove it home from Grayson, about 30 minutes away and it rides just as good as my 93 I paid 7 times as much for hehe, and overall not in to terrible a shape. Exterior is decent a few dents and dings, but the interior is pretty rough leather is in terrible condition, and I think the car sat without a rear windshield as the one on it now had silicone all over it and the body of the car, and the carpet actually has some mold to. I just shrug it off and say ehh $700 dollar car, now I have the nice and stock one I want to have some fun with this one!

Some more info on the car, it is a 91 with 180k miles, dealership records up till 06 has typical PS leak, not helped I'm sure by someone actually running PS fluid in it instead of dextron. Typical cluster half lit needles and slow fuel ( Fixed in my 93 seems to be a bit different on the 91)., and needs some front brakes that are on the way! As soon as I got it home however me and my good friend could not resist removing the rear mufflers, man does it sounds nice!

Default Small update

Since I have last posted I have made some decent progress on the car, Oil and air filters have been changed and I gave the interior carpet a good cleaning. The carpet turned out better then expected, but still needs to be replaced imo, oh I also decided to try out some plasti dip!

Drivers side after seat removal, the change I found in the car brings the grand total down to $685.00!!

Passenger side

the aftermath..

Rented a rug doctor Timmy, and taking the seats out is really easy, 3 bolts and one nut hidden under some plastic clips on the corners of the rails, then a single electrical connection on the bottom ulm8mind, oh and for the driver i tilted it back and pulled it out from the back.

I'm new to this forum but I got someone selling a 94' LS 400 for $900. I really want to jump on it. This would also be my first car as well, I barely have any driving experience as well haha. Didn't know there was such a big community for cars lol... But LS 400 seems like a really great car. My ideal year would be 1995 or 1998 but I don't mind the 94'. Since I know little to nothing about cars I plan on getting a PPI done.

Thanks everyone got a few updates, new front rotors and pads are in, ended up going with R1concepts slotted and Wagner I think it was ceramic pads, and some black caliper paint to go with it. Turns out though my car had 1 locking lug nut on each tire and the rear ones were completely different from the fronts, and no key in sight... So some web searching later found the suggestion of hammering on a slightly larger 12 point, work like a charm btw, well that was until I decided to go ahead and flush the brake fluid and stripped a wheel stud off with one of old lug nuts frozen onto it. So after trying to figure out if i needed to take the whole hub assembly off or somehow remove it from the rear of the hub the only sensible way was to use a cut off wheel hehe. I had some Rays G35 19s lined up, my reasoning for going with some shiny slotted rotors, but that fell through miserably so now I am the only one that knows how good it looks under the stocks 16's for now.. More updates soon guys!!
