Starfire Pearl Non F Sport Build
Been lurking CL since I had my first is300 (2004) in highschool so I figured since I'm starting to get serious with this car I would start a thread.
This is the first day I got her about 6 months ago, fell in love with this car since it came out in 2012, and since owning it I haven't found anything I really hate about the car except no digital clock on nav screen.
That weekend I did a full detail, wash, clay bar, compound some spots and wax. Did it myself instead of the dealership, figured they would just wash scratches into the car.
Both of my beautiful babes
Changed out all the bulbs that weren't LED's, only had a picture of the puddle lights.
Picked up a set of JDM neck pillows, BELLEZZA brand.
This is where things started getting serious for me, didn't think I was gonna put a lot of money into this car, but at this point is where I knew for sure I really loved this car, so I made a big jump and bought air suspension for it. Megan racing coilovers with UAS bags over them
First picture of me starting to rip apart my new car at work, ran the air lines and wire harness through the door stills, kept it really clean and as factory as can be, making sure everything is reversible. Went with the new airlift 3p system.
This is the trunk setup mockup, used a piece of birch plywood I picked up from homedepot.
This is it after mounted in the trunk, sanded and stained the piece of birch plywood and also used a satin polyurethane top coat. I used the brand minwax and had great results. bad picture a little dark. still have full access to my spare for emergency
Picture I took of her laid out at the gas station the night I finished the install, took me a total of 2 weekends.
Itching to buy this since I bought this car, love the f sport front bumper, bought the bumper, both upper and lower grills, and the jdm fog light covers for the side
Got this is350 f sport intake tube for a steal, made it work, then I did a simple airbox "MOD" cut a hole in the front of the air box BEFORE the filter. Sounds amazing, a lot better than it did with the tube that's on the stock intake.
Recent picture I took of her after I mounted the bumper, this is how she currently sits, plan to do more and will continue to update this thread. Will be a very SLOW build.
