Taking a beating from work and law school at night. Haven't been able to post progress. I fitted the acl main bearings on the block with arp studs. It is out of round by 2.5 thou and needs a line hone. Don't think I have money to finish it anytime soon.

Anyhow picked up some hre547r recently and going to paint my calipers today.

Just gotta find time off to reinstall the whole suspension now!
How do the FA coilovers compare to the Feal coilovers? I've been wanting to try both of these brands.

I don't really feel that much of a difference in ride quality. As far as high speed compression I think the fortune damps better. The quality and the price point of FEAL has a slight advantage since they come with swift springs standard and I think the upper sphere joint is upgraded in standard form (fortune have to pay extra there)

Both are excellent.

My machine shop didn't set the valve lash for me. I have zero clearance on my intake cam and only half the shims has a .005 clearance on the exhaust side. (Jdm stock cams). I bought one 2.5mm shim from driftmotion. Hopefully there is some clearance since that is the thinnest shim available from toyota. I don't know about the Yamaha shim and I hope I don't have to go lower than 2.5mm)

I wish there is a thread here on CL to trade shims!!

Thanks for replying. Between the two brands, I was leaning towards trying feal first just because I had them rebuild my hks coils a few years ago and their products looked promising. In the back of my mind I'm still drawn towards kw, but I can't get over the fact that I'll have to buy an additional set of top hats to use with their coils.

Making some progress on the engine. My 2nd time putting the engine back from a Bare Block, always anxious about messing up. Every bolts are checked with torque spec twice and paint marked.

Ordered a Borg Warner S360 60/68 .91AR turbo for now. Going to run it on the Ebay log style cast iron manifold with a Tial 44mm MVR wastegate. (pics coming soon)

Total cost:

Ct200h 2015 wheels: $120.00 on ebay. Leather, Mint!

The center potion is tricky, because an airbag is $400.00+. I have decided to buy a blown airbag for the bracket (for the horn) and buy a airbag cover only on ebay for $70.00.

Luckily, I lived in Sacramento, and it is auto wrecker recycle central. I managed to score a 2015 Camry blown airbag and ordered the airbag cover on Ebay.

so this is a 2015 steering wheel but did you get a 2015 wheel air bag cover? Im trying to do the same conversion but all the air bag covers for 2015 aren't around. only 2011-14 which looks just like this so I was wondering if thats what you did and it fit no problem. They look identical.
