Default Help on Lexus exhaust

Hello everyone! I am an owner of a 2014 is350 fsport and I am new to adding new aftermarket parts and customizing in general. I was looking for a way to increase the sound of my exhaust and possibly (doesn't have to) increase horsepower with an affordable price. My budget is around 400$. I have done some of my own looking around and I have looked at different midpipes from Tsudo. Although there are many different types and I wasn't really sure which was suitable for me. Another friend also suggested for me to remove the headers or the cats which will make my exhaust sound louder and increase horsepower. I'm not really sure what to do, and any input would help. Thanks!

Just adding a midpipe such as an X or Y pipe won't really add any volume to the sound of your exhaust. you will need the midpipe to put in place of the cat. converter if you decide to remove that however removing the cat. converter will mean you are now driving a car with an illegal exhaust system. However removing the cat. converter will definitely increase your volume levels. Another way to increase the volume of your exhaust system I would advise on buying either an axelback or catback exhaust system...however these exhaust systems may run more that your $400 budget....therefore I would recommend just upgrading your mufflers...there's several companies on the market that sell mufflers that are designed to increase the volume of your exhaust system

$400 is too tight of a budget to get something done right IMO. you might be able to squeeze in a couple of cheapy ebay mufflers and labor within the $400 budget, but it probably won't look good and the welding might be sub-par at that price point. Better to save up a couple hundred more for a used good quality axle back system.
