Default My 98 is in the body shop

She's getting some elective cosmetic surgery. The whole body is in great shape and paint as well (save for some crow's feet on the hood), but a previous owner had one helluva blowout and the delaminated tread kinda jacked up the lower rear quarter, so I decided to have it put in a buddy's body shop and get it knocked out while I had the cash and before I blew it on some crap I don't really need.

He's fixing the metal and painting it and the rear bumper, and blending it up into the c-pillar so he can touch up some light scratches on the roof. The previous owner must have had some low hanging small branches or something at his house.

Anyways, here's a couple before:

Maybe a little difficult to see the faded paint on the bumper, but there it is.

He sent me these today:

He said it had a hole the size of a finger, but he's going to work it back into place and hit it with some weld to seal it back, sand it all down and then do the primer and paint and put her back together. I guess I'll have it back mid week next week or something. Anyways, enjoy for now.

Glad to see another SC getting some attention. I'm interested to see how the paint match comes out since I have the same fading issue on my rear bumper.

He sent other pics along the way, but mostly just showing him welding up that body damage or having it primed. Here's pics he took today. He's had the car since the 8th of last month which is WELL over the 2-3 days he originally quoted, and I let him know 3 or 4 times during that I was pretty unpleased with his progress.

Anyways, here they are and I'm going to go pick it up in a couple hours:

Nevermind the spots in there, I already asked...water and dust.
