Back with a few updates. Started doing gaskets and seals as well as taking the stock twins off. Why is he taking the stock twins off now? Well I've decided to go big single while the engine is already out being that it's easier to work on so why not? Pretty much have everything as far as manifold...turbo...oil lines...and waste gate. Also changing the front sump oil pan to rear sump of course. Will be put back together tomorrow with new valve cover seals and rear sump. Had to buy Toyota Black sealant.

My Precision 46mm waste gate & CX Racing GT35R with anti-surge and upgraded billet wheels came in. I'll be running the CX for a short period til I upgrade butit should spool very fast with the .68 rear housing

Replaced the valve cover seals and used Toyota black to assist. Swapped out the old spark plugs as well. Decided to high temp wrinkle black the valve covers and paint the coil pack cover while I was at it.

Went ahead and high temp wrinkle painted the intake manifold as well...finished the coil pack cover and did the turbo compressor housing. Engine & trans is set to go back in

What paint did you use on compressor housing....i have tried all high temp paint options and none of them worked.....its gets a lot hotter than you think

Eventually had to go powdercoated...

Hey I ended up using VHT High Temp flat black...had good reviews and a ton on the muscle heads use it on exhaust. Says it's good for up to 2000°F. We'll see...like I said this turbo is a test run...but eventually I'll be going Borg Warner.

Just a quick update...car is pretty much done but ran into a little hiccup along the process path with the drive shaft not mounting up to the trans. Hoping it's just the trans flange because I have a SC400 drive shaft. Trying to source a SC400 trans flange. Shout out to the a**hole that sold me the wrong flange.

So finally I was able to find the right flange from the SC400 trans at a local yard I also bought a new Gate's Micro-V (Part # K060775) needed for the upgraded ATI Super Damper from Real Street.
