As of right now I'm still up in Michigan, sorting the last few things out before I road trip the SC down to Tampa for good next month. You local guys will probably see it around at meets, along with the silver Supra and occasionally my GS. That being said, I'm doing a little "soul searching" and deciding what I want to do about this 2jzgte and the r154...

Original idea was to drop it all in my GS, which I have just about everything necessary sans clutch kit and driveshaft. BUT, with the Leon Hardiritt wheels and suspension setup, I feel like it'd almost be counter-productive. Also, after a lot of talking and lots of craft beer with a close friend and fellow veteran, we sparked the idea to build a FD RX7 track car. We have a full engine and drive train from a jdm '95 RX7 already(along with a bunch of other parts). What happens when you live in Okinawa and own a car you can't bring home? You strip it down to the last nut and bolt then ship whatever you can!

(Picture of the FD before it met it's demise)

So as of right now my logical options are either:

A) Sell the engine etc to buy FD shell. Either way still getting an FD...
B) Swap the SC, weld diff, and have a somewhat fun skid car.

Engine is listed for sale locally in Tampa area. I don't know if really want to sell it, but if I'm offered what I'm asking then I'm all for it. I guess we'll see what happens!

The SC drove pretty smoothly on the 1200 mile trip down to Tampa. I need to fix a few oil leaks and replace the front LCA's. As soon as I got into town I changed the distributor o-ring, cap, and rotor...

We took the SC and Soup out to a local meet a few nights ago.

A few really nice cars and lots of people being dumb. Also the Florida thing where everyone hard parks and stays by their cars all night. Never understood that growing up. Hawaii, NY, Michigan etc. doesn't have that problem :/

Mounted my fog lights today. I still need to change the connectors and see if they'll actually work, but atleast the front looks more complete now.

Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Americans on the forums!🍻🗽🇺🇸

Clay bar and waxed the SC for the first time. It looks half decent all cleaned up, of course until it rains 10mins later... because Florida lol

Thanks. The new owner is definitely happy. I'd like to think I saved it from a scrap yard future, and turned it into something enjoyable to own.

Yes, sadly it was the right time my friend. I want a FD sitting in the garage next to the Supra when I come home. Thanks for all your hard work and motivation in creating an amazing bit of aero! Best I've ever dealt with from pre-order all the way into the paint booth. I'm sure we'll collaborate again
