Super busy with GS300 stuff. APT / KDB polyurethane sides and front bumper are on. Very minor trimming on the sides so they snug super flush, otherwise a breeze to install. Also installed a brand new bumper grille, and the '97+ door lower claddings I got a little while back. If you use early model claddings it does press against the skirts a bit. I couldn't get the skirts flush around the fender until I switched them. Just an fyi.

APT/KBD Aerocraft kit is done. Only issue I ran into was from the prior existing quarter panel damage. Overall extremely happy with the quality.

Let's just dig in a little and see what's under the cracking paint on the quarter:

Yep. Looks rough. For now we'll just take it down to metal and rattle can.

Both sides have prior repair work. Since the car is daily driven it will have to wait until I'm ready to refinish the entire car.

Me too!

...And I kicked off that party tonight! Sideskirts are in the chute first- Bumpers will come off the car this weekend for prep! So here's a quick synapse of how it's going down.

1. Waterbased grease and wax remover. Solvents are a no-go. Make sure it's clean before sanding- Otherwise you'll just bury that into the plastic.
2. Grab some 320 grit sandpaper. Scuff that Sum%!tch by hand like it's a Baghdad baddie.
3. Get some compressed air and blow it totally clean.
4. Use a tack rag and wipe it down. One side to the other not back and forth. Static is a bad thing.
5. Now it's ready for some high build primer. 2-3 coats should do the trick.

If you passed all stations you should now have something like this:

Stopped at this point for now. I don't get much time to work my own stuff. More to come though; thanks for tuning in!
