Basically, The whole suspension is brand new. First thing I tackled on this build.

And thanks ELLeon!
What a setup. I would love to have all those bushings replaced on my GS.

Rice rice baby!

Installed a Dmax style hood vent. Major fail as you can see, the fiber glass does not want to follow the downward slope of the GS hood, so its all wavy. Oh well. Might try more rivets. Also rattle canned it, so it looks great in certain angles, but utter **** in others.

Hard to tell, but I also installed a Greddy rep lip. Fitment isn't so good, but it was like $130, so if it falls off like my other lip, oh well.

And what I've been waiting for forever. Wished I could've installed one on my previous MR-S, but the GS will do.

Big Country Labs GT Wing with corner mount brackets!

I saw your hood somewhere on social media haha. I thought it was yours but wasn't sure. That wing though. They're so awesome.

For the hood gaps, couple methods come to mind on how to solve it, but honestly I wouldn't even stress it. Looks good, and it's functional

Lol yeah, the gaps arent on top of the list of priorities.

I'm super stoked about the GT wing. It's currently black primer from BCL, will paint it soon.

Next up will be another set of wheels for the track and sticky rubber. The goal is to be somewhat competitive in TRD Cup!

I just picked up a GS and was wondering how they'd do on a track. And you're my hero for tracking your GS400 like a bauss. You must get some interesting looks when people see a 15yr old family sedan passing them lol. Good work on the build!

Any plans for a brake upgrade? Even a 2LS upgrade would be huge for you. I have a spare set of rotors I could let go of cheap I think lol.

Thank you everyone. Unfortunately, the journey comes to an end. Today, I sold the car to a good buddy of mine.

It was fun building this car, I'm glad I was able to take it out and track it.

Biggest reason why I sold the car is due to the lack of driving pleasure. The MK3 R154 was the biggest culprit. Its not a fun transmission to shift. I guess I was spolied with my NB Miata and ZZW MR2's shifter. It was so bad, that I barely drove the car. I bought the GT wing to up my motivation, but that didnt do anything and the car continued to sit. I was planning to part the car, but my friend that helped me piece the car together wanted to purchase it. Since he knows what he was getting into, we signed the paper work today. It's going on to be his drift car right next to his 1JZ Cressida. She's not going to just sit there.

Thanks again to everyone that has helped and encouraged me to finish the 5 speed swap.

Hello Everyone, I bet you were wondering what ever happened to the GS, Well here she is. It is another Vehicle to add to my BIG FLEET of WTF.... The car was Well built, now I have to keep pushing to make my buddy want to buy it back. The Fortune auto is going to get sent out to Feal suspension to get it tuned properly, The problem i have had is float issues with the coilovers. Even Though the car has Amazing Grip, But the float bothers me enough to get it rebuilt. I saw a question regarding on brakes, I Purchased a 6 pot/ 13.5 rotor AP racing front brakes to help this FAT *** slow down. I also, purchased a Auto Emulator to hopefully get rid of the DAMN CEL!! The R154 problem is still a PITA, But I am searching HIGH and low for the R154 External Shifter set. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.

I've PM'd xHyaku, looking for a definitive checklist on the ECU issue. I like the approach of yanking the valve body wiring and solenoids and just plugging them in.

What are all the steps needed to trick the stock ECU?
So far I've got:
Solenoids plugged in
Transmission speed sensor modified to fit in the manual trans (right?)
Jumping the gear select harness so the car thinks it's in Drive (right?)

There was an issue that was made easier by having a '98 ECU. Can anyone elaborate?

If you can help me get a complete how-to compiled on tricking the ECU, I have every intention of doing a full write-up when I do my CD009 swap so all questions are answered in one nifty thread. This is totally doable and I want a step-by-step guide to be available for anyone else who wants to.
