Default Next project

Now I have the car up and running so time to tear it down and start cleaning up the engine bay and start swapping over to the single turbo. This part will be a delay and longer process because it is almost wedding time for me so that will be my priority.

Congrats bro on your wedding! I'll be looking forward to seeing that setup and even more to see what power numbers it puts out!

I will still keep everything posted on here. So you just have to check back often. I'm hoping it shouldn't take any longer then the end of January until I have the performance mods done.

Ran into problems with trying to use the 5spd. So the transmission control module will not speak with the Aristo ECU so I tried getting the computer re-mapped but it will not communicate with it still. So I ordered a new 4spd off of ebay to swap it out with and that will push me to buy my standalone much quicker.

So I have been looking at EMS systems and having a hard time deciding. So I would like other people input. and if anyone has or is running these setups. I have narrowed it down that I will rpobably go with AEM so I have looked at the infinity 6 and the AEM v2 my main concern is the compatibility with the VVTI. If you have any input I would like to hear from you.

Found your thread. Yeah the 2JZGTE has to have the 4 speed auto tranny, like you found out the 5 spd GE tranny isnt compatible.

Best choice will be going with the AEM infinity 6, I just got one installed on my Aristo swap. The Auto tranny will limit any high power goals. I'll try to post a video, pictures so that theres a clear guide.

I was running the Aristo ECU for the time being. I had a annoying issue with the MAF not reading, bought a second MAF still didn't read, possibly due to the 4" piping it was in versus the 3" stock piping. Ive read if the MAF isn't working it will limit the RPM to around 3000-3500 RPM which is what I had. Fuel only read in 1/4 tank increments.

So I am missing the wire in the TE1 spot. So any suggestions of why this is? Or how I check for engine codes?

I had a dream last night that I was building a 2JZ GS300... Good luck with the swap.

I have the infinity 6 and i will tell you it runs very well! I had an issue with it though out of the box and after many months on diag found out that i had a bad board out of the box. sent it in and had AEM fix it and all has been fine after that.
