Hey CL, recently purchased a 2008 IS250. Decided I wanted to show you guys my progress this time around. I've always like the 2IS body ever since it came out but couldn't afford one at the time when it was easily over 23k. I eventually met Drew (BoyOhBoy) and Peter (yammy). I couldn't stand seeing their cars all the time and it eventually made me realize that it was time...
I used to own a 5th gen Honda Prelude:
Full 3 stage Paint job : White with blue pearl
Full Genuine Wing West RS KIT
BC Racing coils
tanabe super racing medallion exhaust
Custom retrofits (tsx projectors and e46 shrouds)
Works, BBS, Enkeis, Varrstoens etc (had a ton of different wheel setups)
Decided I wanted to move on to a lexus and bought a blue IS350:
17k Original miles
GFX MOLDED front lip
GFX sides
INGS MOLDED rear
Tanabe coilovers
Full clear bra
Fully loaded
TOM's components
The blue was nice but I felt like the color wasn't my type of taste. Since it was an impulse buy and how picky I was, i decided that only a black or white lexus would do.
Ended up getting a 2008 Starfire Pearl IS250 with 60k miles:
First thing I did was order some coilovers so that they would arrive after a month or so.
Got a muffler delete with some custom tips. Sounds amazing but drones hard at times.
Picked up some style 95s from my friend and dropped them off at a shop to get them redrilled from 5x120 to 5x114.3:
19x9 +24
19x10 +24
After waiting 6-7 weeks, my BC Racing coilovers came in.
Swift spring upgrade
custom 20k fronts / 18k rears
My friends and I installed the coils ourselves after about 5 hours. I went with swift springs because I plan on getting air cup suspension in the near future and they're not compatible with regular BC springs. I wasn't able to lower the car as much as I wanted to because I still need to get my fenders rolled and cut some fender liner.
I also ended up buying a brand new front lip and had it painted at a local shop.
Added:
Style 95 Wheels ( got them redrilled for $300)
Rear lip
Authentic ings+1 trunk spoiler
Changed the DRLs to bright white
Really wanted to dial in on fitment so bought new wheels and adjusted height. Also rolled and pulled my fenders even more to fit
the new specs without aggressive camber.
Was in the city when it rained and decided to do a little shoot.

I definitely have buyer's remorse. The is250 is an extremely slow car compared to the is350. But since I'm going the vip route, it doesn't bother me as much.

It honestly took too long to find a white IS with black interior that was fully loaded. So I was going to get whatever came up first locally after waiting 5 months.
