Default 2005 ls430 check tire pressure warning system

How can I check to see that the tire air pressure warning system is working properly after I reset the system? 2005 Lexus LS430.

The TPMS system like most of the other systems on board the LS430 self checks on start up and will show a fault code if not working per design. Other than that there is no way I know of to test other than to significantly deflate one of the 4 mounted tires and drive the car. Since it is indirect via ABS/rotation nd not an actual pressure monitoring system it won't alarm unless the car is being driven. My TPMS alarmed last week because I had a low tire due to slow leak from a screw in the tire. I stopped almost immediately after the alarm and checked my tires and the low tire was at 20lbs instead of 35lbs of the other 3 tires. Car was still easily drivable so I drove 5 miles home. Filled it back up at home and took it to Costco to be patched the next day.

Thanks for the information. No errors on start up. I knew that there were no monitors in the valve stems or tire, so I wondered how it worked.
