switched my motor build set up last minute. from 9.0:1 compression and decided to do high compression 10:1 after talking to Don at AP and Larry at SoundPerformance. picking up the built block this weekend. fingers crossed its done today or tomorrow. Don at AP has been working hard on it and keeping me updated with photos which i will post this weekend. He is doing an amazing job and deserves the credit.

You'll love the high compression build especially with all of the ethanol we have here in the midwest. The extra compression makes it that much more enjoyable on the street and definitely adds some spool. I recently built the block in my Supra and it makes the same power at 20psi as it did before at 25psi. The only changes were slightly larger cams (went from HKS 264 to GSC S1) and the 10/1 bottom end. It's making roughly 8-10% more power across the board.

Quick update, my oil pans got done. Tim at The Powder Pro just texted me a few pics. Semi gloss black on the lower one and silver (like a chrome hyper silver...can't remember the full name) with gloss clear on the upper. Tim's work is phenomenal.

Got the news from Don at AP that the block was ready to go. Left at 4 AM this morning and drove out to Toledo Ohio to pick up the block in person. Was a great experience. Got to check out the shop, the cars, and got a glimpse of the cool stuff that goes on inside. Don's a great guy, very helpful and knowledgeable.
