Forgive my ignorance, but is the MK3 supra lSD an upgrade for the factory LSD?

I have stock LSD on 944hp going for over 1k soon

Things get very tight on the IS300 especially with twins. I do have a buddy that does 2JZ swaps in my area and he has been my source when ever I had a question on my build, or ordering any parts he would help out, he also did all my custom exhaust work and intercooler piping. In your case since you are keeping the stock twins you would need to run the aristo harness and aristo ecu which would require the wiring to be done. Just PM me if interested ,he can get this done professionally and for a reasonable price.

A/c lines were vacuumed, checked for leaks and recharged with oil and freon.
In 90F degree weather a/c was hitting 40F.

Yes I am. I purchased the weir kit to adjust the backlash to spec. I followed the Mk3 TSRM for disassembly and assembly of the lsd. Just waiting on the car to be tuned and basically I will be removing the stock is300 diff, then I will remove the ring gear and put it on the Mk3 lsd carrier and put everything back together in the is300 housing. I also need to get the axles stubs cut.

I am considering changing it out for a AA80E the new Lexus 8spd…we will see.
How did you dyno?
Also I may switch to a clutch style LSD as the torsen can get scary…my torsen in my supra almost caused a huge wipe out on a flatfoot shift only 700hp…..I put a carbonetics Clutch LSD in her and she is very predictable.
Best wishes

Good thing I went with a clutch type LSD.
They were having an issue with another car on the dyno which delayed my tune a bit, I believe my car is next and they should start tuning tomorrow. I will update as soon as I get any news.

She first made 525whp with 17.5 PSI on pump gas and they ended it at 685whp/621wtq on E98. Alpha said there's more left but the clutch was starting to slip. Here's one of the dyno sheets I was sent. I will post more details later on.

I finally installed the lsd on the IS300.
Axles stubs were cut.
Lsd testing.
I got a pair of g-force comp2 for a really good price with about 90% of thread life left, traction is a lot better compared to before. For the time being that is, I need to go a lot wider currently these are 235/40/17.
I had to replace my brake booster and master. I was having some issues with the brakes and with the replacement I partially have resolved the issue. I still have an abs error that I believe is speed sensor related. I have to look into it once it's solved I'll be upgrading to TT's.
