92 SC400 - Garnet Peril
lol so here is my build thread.. kinda.
All the stuff I wanted to do to my previous 93, its looking like I will be able to do to this car I picked up a couple months back
this car has been in serious need of help.
when I got it it had no windows, the drivers side door was bashed in and unable to open. and the cross member had been damaged (unknowning when I bought the car)
Attachment 495056
Attachment 495057
as well as all mismatched tires with blown shocks, destroyed bushings, and a massive leak in the power steering. and a bad ECU.
it also had black interior.... from all the smoking the previous owner did as well as water and mold.
replaced the aluminum crossmember, ECU, door, all oxygen sensors, cleaned out and shampood the carpets and seats, and will be picking up real black interior next weekend if all goes well.
the door shows me how faded the paint is, I cant wait to get a new coat of Garnet Pearl on the car.
So here are a bit of parts I have so far that are waiting to go on the car.
04 350z 6 speed
S&S Headers
Megan EZ Street Coilovers
Prothane bushings for the whole car
JVC Double DIn
waiting for the collins adapter parts to come, I ordered about a week and a half ago, I wish I knew how long it takes for this stuff to come.
I also have a new alternator coming in the mail and a kit to rebuild the power steering pump and I should probably also get a new hose, as well as the aforementioned black interior.
I cant wait to see what this car can become, I think I got enough parts to see this cars sports/performance side come alive.
What I'll call Stage 0.5: more Sound, Feel, and Control.

put on the coilovers and polyurethane bushings on the front LCA, I didnt put in the bushings on the upper control arms in the front or any in the back yet.
the car seems to be bottoming out and I am hitting speed bumps on the center of the car. I didnt think I was THAT low..
I am on the stock setting for the megan EZs, I havnt adjusted anything yet. but the car hits on speed bumps on every bump no matter speed I dont get it.
I heard to leave in the stock bushings in for the uppers for a bit more comfort.
I'm going to have to put the rear in later on. and I am still waiting on the clutch and pressure plate for my CD009.
I also still need pedals and shifter and shifter bracket. man this is expensive.

yea the biggest challenge is going to be fixing the two spots on the panels behind the door. which I may have a shop take care of, no idea on the expense of that though.
I have already done so much do this car though, its onto the upgrades now.

Update: Well I have put the transmission in, coilovers and a couple of the poly bushings.
car isnt exactly what I expected, going to drive it a lot more, need to adjust the coils a lot, AND need to level the car out, the rear passenger side and front drivers side are too low
and I still need to put the headers on, they dont bolt right up..
