Default Sunday finish update

The end of day 3.. Late start under the hood due to cleaning & prep...
The timing belt fight to the death.. Just would not line up PROPERLY...
But VICTORY the cooling system held 15 psi for ~4 min.. and the leaks were crappy vac caps & bolts in hoses.... So tomorrow the FINAL LEG of the big stuff ( Turbo's & Intake ) !

Just SOOOOOOO close.. 1 stud in the exhaust manifold down pipe backed out, on take apart.. we had new studs.. couldn't fine em... the old studs threads were buggered on the nut side... and we didn't have any CORRECT bolts... The other thing is some radiator flush to get the GOO out of the cooling system, other than that.... It's ready to test fire... There is more wiring under the dash ( rear O2 sensor, BU lights, speed sensor ) to "make" then test & finish looming....

Default It's alive i tell you alive~

So the SUPRA lit off again… i lithe blip of the key and she fired right up~

We used 1/2 a tablet of cascade diluted in water.. and let the engine idle for a a couple of minutes and the oil started to break down nicely in the cooling system. David ran out of time for today , but we did drain the cooling system as best we could.. I would guess a quart of oil came out with the coolant / water combo.. but it's now so light it floats easily and is thinner.. so I think 1 more treatment that that's good to go.. and NO water in the oil system… David is free @ 2:00 tomorrow and has Friday off..
SOON VERY VERY SOON for the first lap round the block.. well once we get the electric cooling fans rewired again…

AND I couldn't find a 2JZGTE engine parts for sale.. and I have some needs…
SINCE WE LIVE IN CALIF and all the smog stuff MUST BE 100% USDM
I need the VSV solenoids for the EGR and the fuel pump regulator.
The MAIN 02 sensor ( 4 pin ) .
and the EGR temp sender with connectors
94 Engine

If this is in the wrong place SORRY…

So current issues…
Cooling system JUST got clean enough to drop " normal" coolant in and let it ride for a week.
2 nd oil change looking good we will do 1 more to appease the gods.
Fans.. I will have to rebrain out what I did…
Only makes 9 lbs O boost BUT we have a check engine light I ASSUME this is similar to the Z-32 Nissan so if it detects an issue it holds boost down.
Get the rest O the Smog stuff !!!!
Power steering HOWLS like a stuck pig…

Temp gauge doesn't do bupkis but our ALMOST working after market one does!

Brakes are VERY sketchy after sitting that long..
AND
reinstall 80% of the interior….

Gerrb Thank you for the ground discussion.. THAT was out major turning point !
( sorry I ate your share of the Pizza! )

Mike
