Added 2 layers of chop mat to the box.
Replaced the battery terminals with KnuKonceptz terminals.
And had an extremely rare supercar sighting in my town. Ferrari 458. The driver didn't care to park even remotely straight.

Just got my heavy 2oz fiberglass mat. I want to make sure this box is strong enough.
I also bought a sew machine off Ebay to reupholster my interior. Practiced on some scrap pieces.

Had a resin stain on my armrest so I decide to start my sewing project there.
Ran a test on the subs and amp to make sure everything is working.

This week, I bought a Pioneer AVH-4700BS headunit, and a Rockford Fosgate 400-4D Amp. Then, I went to work.
Starting the wire routing
Put some spare suede on the amp rack I made a little while ago, and mounted my 4-channel.
My old Boss headunit will be put to rest. It was a good starter but the upgrade was much needed.

Prime, spot fill, sand, sand, sand, sand, sand, and prime. I can't upholster the box until I get a friend to cut holes in my deck.
Stuck here until I can test fit.
I may be making new aluminum emblems based on an Oakland Raiders title belt I made a little while ago.

Been awhile CL. Work and school have been keeping me away from this sub box project for a couple months. In the meantime, Chica Halcon hit 100,000mi.
I was finally able to get back to work on the box. My first test fit wasn't great. the humps on the bottom were too big and needed to be cut down.
After fixing that, I found the back of the box hit the window.
With that trimmed down I put the seat in.
Busted out the sewing machine and went to work on the upholstery.
A ghetto Secondskin application and final test fit.

Picked up a Vortec 4.8 while I was away.
Plan is to clean and rebuild. All new bolts, all new bearings, ***** Thumpr Comp Cam, Paint, then move on to the tranny.
After the tear down, hot tank, and new cam bearings I decided to rattle can the block and valve covers.
